Mariah Carey Responds to Lip Synching Rumors

 

Last week Mariah Carey performed a medley of her greatest hits on American Idol.   Her voice was flawless as she teased us with her vocal range. The diva reminded us of why she's gotten all of her awards.  Yet, several media outlets questioned whether Mariah lipped synched.

 

Mariah's representatives are setting the record straight:

“She ABSOLUTELY DID NOT lip-sync,” said her spokesperson. “She performed LIVE in front of several thousands of people!!!! (and did it 3 times!!).”

The rep confirmed that Mariah did sing to a prerecorded track—a common practice in the music biz even among big-named artists—but clarified that she “performed with a 40-person choir” and “SANG LIVE.”

“No LIP-SYNCING whatsoever! She did 3 takes and thrilled the crowd with singing little songs in between that we’re NOT part of her medley,” the publicist added.

Plus, considering the fact that Nicki Minaj was sitting right there, do you really think she'd give Nicki the pleasure to be able to say that she lip synched.  Not after their issues on that judging panel.  Moving on...

Billboard Music Award 2013 performances (watch videos)

 

The stars came out last night and gave us some great performances.  Although, after Kid Rock's comment, we are n o longer sure who lip-synced.  Smh.  It was good nonetheless.  In case you missed it...here are a few of the performances.

Taylor Swift with her colorful performance of her hit "22"

Carly Rae Jepsen Sings the Fans Lyrics in "Take A Picture" on American Idol (video)

The fans chose the lyrics for Carly Rae Jepsen's new song "Take A Picture" in the Coca Cola Perfect Harmony contest. 

Last night, we finally got to hear the song on American Idol.  Also, check out the backup dancers outfits too, afterall the fans (you) voted on it.

Trivia:  Did you know that Carly Jepsen came in third place on the Canadian version of American Idol in 2007?  This proves that contestants can make their dreams come true despite not winning 'the contest'.

One Direction is Sticking Around

Yippee! One Direction guys are not going anywhere anytime soon...they just signed on for 3 more albums with their record label!

 

Even better, the albums have to be released by 2016.  Meanwhile the guy's are busy and having fun with their 'Take Me Home' tour.

Justin Bieber Gets Apology from Fan Who Rushed the Stage

 

Justin Bieber's concert-stage-jumping fan responds to the uproar.  He says he just wanted a hug and apologizes. 

 

   Listen to the radio interview below.

Excitement over seeing your fav celebrity is great but he needs to learn how to control himself period.  He could have gotten arrested or hurt somebody .

Justin Bieber Attacked on Stage Last Night

 

Justin Bieber was rushed by a fan during his concert in Dubai last night! 

 

Justin was sitting at his piano performing a song then suddenly a fan ran up on stage and grabbed Justin Bieber from behind.  Of course Justin's security pulled the guy off immediately and the ruckus resulted in the piano being knocked over. 

Justin didn't miss a beat though.  He continued his performance.

Some people are speaking in defense of the fan just wanting to tell Justin something or get a hug.

        Really? Come on, that was not cool dude! 

 

You are not supposed to go on stage uninvited!

Nobody can predict what the fan was trying to do.  Either way, it was inappropriate and out of line. A real fan would not do anything that would rattle the nerves of his fav star.  Ever!  A REAL FAN just enjoys the show and don't mess things up for all the other fans. 

        Thumbs down to that 'so called' fan...fail!

'The Radio Disney Music Awards' airs Saturday!

 

This past weekend all the young music stars came out for the Radio Disney Music Awards and you get to find out who won on May 4th.  Yep, that's this Saturday!

 

Everybody came out looking their fashionably best!  Hmm, 'fashionably'...is that a word?  Anyway, the stars looked amazing as they walked the red carpet.  The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles was filled with anticipation to see who will take home an ARDY trophy.   Who do you think won?

We get to follow the relationship between Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson while they tour together.   Plus, we meet the guys parents too!  The film is gonna have lots of behind the scenes footage, we'll get to know the guys better and see what their day to day life is like.
