Sixteen year old Michael Gougeon (Ontario, Canada) is piloting planes to break records while most teens are just learning to drive a car.
Michael will attempt to be the youngest pilot to fly solo across Canada from coast to coast in an amphibious aircraft.
He plans to leave from Tofino, British Columbia in a Cessna 182 to fly through the Rockies, across the Prairies, over thousands of lakes across Northern Ontario, and finally land in Halifax, Nova Scotia about a week later. The trip should take about 25 hours of air time total. The nearly 3,000-mile trip is dependent on weather.
