After several appeals and a celebrity-charged petition against a R-rating of Bully, the film will open in theaters on Friday without a rating.
Bully, considered the most important film of the year for tweens/teens, is a documentary on peer-to-peer bullying in schools across America.
The studio opted to release the film without cutting out the emotionally charged scene in which a profanity-spewing bully is caught on camera tormenting a 12-year-old.
Instead the rating decision will be left to the individual theaters.
