Taylor Swift responded to an online campaign thousands of people on facebook asking her to attend senior prom with a fan who is battling cancer.
Kevin McGuire is from New Jersey and has suffered from leukemia since he was 13. Currently battling his cancer for the second time, one of his greatest wishes is to take Taylor Swift to the prom.
On Friday, Taylor Swift responded to the request on her Facebook page, "Kevin, I'm so sorry but I won't be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up ... Would you be my date? Love, Taylor."
Kevin is amazed that so many people saw his campaign and that it spreaded like wildfire. He is very appreciative for the help. He's hoping he'll be well enough to attend the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1st in Las Vegas and he can't wait to meet Taylor.
"She's sweet," he gushed to the Courier-Post. "If people could be more like Taylor, the world would be a better place."
