Red Tails scores at the box office!

 

Surpassing all expectations Red Tails came in second place at the box office this weekend earning $19.1 million!!

Red Tails is about a crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard. 

 

Starring Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr, Tristan Wilds, Method Man, Ne-Yo and more!

 

Many  took to social media to help the George Lucas film soar.  Even Oprah joined in by tweeting her 9 million followers.

 

The movie about the Tuskegee Airmen gained momentum on social media when George Lucas shared that Hollywood rejected the film proclaiming that an African-American cast does not have an profit making audience. If more people go out to see this film, Hollywood may very well be proven wrong.

Audiences that went to see Red Tails this weekend enjoyed the film, helping it score a rare "A" CinemaScore grade, which will only fuel the film's ticket sales.

Nick Jonas tweets Broadway poster!

 

Nick Jonas is ultra-excited about his new billboard poster for How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying which was unveiled today in the heart of Times Square New York City.

 

The 19-year-old actor recently took over role of J. Pierrepont Finch previously played by Harry Potter's  Daniel Radcliffe and Glee's Darren Criss. 

 

Nick celebrated with his whole family and he tweeted the picture above “So excited to see the big HT$ billboard go up today!”

Demi Lovato Reveal who Supported her through the Dark Days

Wow time flies!!  It seems like ages ago to us when Demi Lovato was making negative headlines!  

 

She's back on track with new music, a fabulous look and she's the cover girl for February's Seventeen Magazine!

 

Demi is looking happy and healthy!  She shares how she made it through her rehab stint and got her life back on track.  She's very grateful to her BFF's; Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez for sticking by her through it all.

 

In her Seventeen interview, Demi says"I’m not gonna lie. I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain."

 

"I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, I don’t throw up after my meals, I don’t starve myself," she said. "There’s nothing that I do that I feel ashamed of."

 

"There were two people [who were there for me]," Demi confirmed. "No matter how many times we fight, we will always be in each others’ lives. [Miley Cyrus and I] are very strong-headed, so when we fight, it’s brutal and we’re like, ‘We’re never going to be friends again!’ Then two days later, we’re like, ‘I love you and I miss you!’ Selena [Gomez] and I, we never fight. She’s not a confrontational person at all. Both of them will never leave my life no matter what happens, because we’ve been through so much together."

Vampires Bite into Off-Broadway as "Twilight" hits the Stage

 

Vampires are taking over off-Broadway with a Musical version of Twlight!

 

You better hurry though Twilight: The Musical will make its off-Broadway debut as a one-night-only on January 16^th!

 

Diehard 'Twilight' fans should come with a sense of humor becaue the play is a funny spoof of the movie and will feature songs like "Life Sucks When Your Boyfriend Is A Vampire," “Death Never Sounded So Good” and “I Imprinted on an Infant."  Characters from Harry Potter will pop in the play adding to the laughter. Maybe we will get a battle between vampires and witches...hmm.
