College students have been fighting for someone...anyone to hear their cry for an affordable education!
Finally, someone is listening.
Last week, President Obama stated in his State of the Union Address that he will stand with the students for an affordable education.
On Friday, President Obama offered a plan to reduce college costs by increasing the amount of federal grant money available in low-interest loans.
Under the plan, colleges will be rewarded based for offering relatively lower tuition prices, a quality education and serving low-income students.
For parents concerned about tax dollars, the plan would not cost taxpayers additional dollars because students pay off the aid money with interest.
