Apple wants all your School Textbooks on iPad

Apple wants to make the iPad a replacement those heavy school textbooks you carry.

The iPad has electronic textbooks for subjects such as biology and chemistry which contain videos and other interactive features.

This is a huge task for Apple to take on though. Currently printed books are purchased by schools, not students, and are reused year after year.

Apple says says there are already 1.5 million iPads in educational settings, making the tablet the ideal springboard for getting rid of paper.
